Thanks to a generous benefactor who created an Outreach Fund in memory of his grandmother, funds are available to parish groups and individuals who may want services provided by this Center but who may not be able to afford our fees. However, we ask that some contribution be made to the Center. Each group or person may decide the amount and we will make up the difference from the Outreach Fund.

Facilities of St. Mary's Spiritual Center are available for meetings and for groups which supply their own program and leader. The elegant and fully carpeted Old Seminary Chapel, a neo-gothic structure built in 1808, last remodeled in 1968 and repainted in 1991, is equipped with about 150 movable padded chairs rather than pews, a small pipe organ, a public address system, and a video cassette player. Large folding tables and lamps are available for meetings requiring them. (The Old Seminary Chapel is not air conditioned; there are ceiling fans and exhaust fans.)

Each of two other areas which are integral parts of the Old Seminary Chapel, the space behind the altar and the Blessed Sacrament chapel (a wing opening onto the altar area), accommodates about 30 people.

The sacristy, a separate room opposite the Blessed Sacrament chapel, seats about 20 at tables. It is suitable for meals and refreshments. For larger groups, long serving tables and white plastic chairs may be made available in the carport adjacent to the Chapel. Two restrooms are located in the Lucy House in the Rose Garden adjacent to the carport. (Food and drink are allowed inside the Chapel only in the sacristy.)

The lower chapel with padded pews and kneelers accommodates about 50.

Groups of ten or fewer use the Spiritual Center building which includes a comfortable parlor and dining area, a small kitchen, a Conference Room, and chapel. Each room is equipped with a window air conditioner.

The fee schedule for use of the facilities per day is as follows:

Old Seminary Chapel
up to 50 people:     $200 (group rate)
50-100 people        $250 (group rate)
over 100 people      $300 (group rate)

Two rooms for 1-10 people          $17 per person

Food service and overnight accommodations are not available.
Clients may bring their own food or go to the nearby Lexington Market or
restaurants. The Center freely supplies coffee, tea and hot chocolate.
